Asphalt Repairs Sydney

Asphalt repairs across Sydney. Potholes, cracks, patching, resurfacing and reinstatement for residential, commercial and council projects.

From a damaged driveway to a failed section of road. Get it repaired properly.

T&L Excavations & Asphalting provides professional asphalt and bitumen repairs throughout Western Sydney and surrounding areas.

We repair everything from cracked and damaged residential driveways through to commercial car parks, access roads, potholes and council road surfaces.

The right repair depends on what’s happening underneath the asphalt. Rather than simply covering the damage, we’ll assess the surface and determine whether it needs sealing, patching, resurfacing or complete reconstruction of the affected area.

Asphalt Repairs for All Types of Surfaces

Not every damaged asphalt surface needs replacing.

If the underlying base remains sound, individual sections can often be repaired or the existing surface resurfaced, extending its usable life without the cost of complete reconstruction.

T&L has the equipment and experience to assess the problem and carry out the appropriate repair.

What Type of Asphalt Damage Do You Have?

Cracks & surface damage

Small cracks can allow water into the pavement and underlying base.

Addressing cracks early can help prevent moisture from causing further deterioration and turning a relatively straightforward repair into a larger problem.

Depending on the condition of the surface, T&L can provide crack sealing or recommend further repairs where required.

Hot Bitumen Crack Sealing

Potholes

A pothole is usually a symptom of failure beneath the surface rather than simply a hole in the asphalt.

Depending on the extent of the damage, repairs may involve removing the failed material, rebuilding the affected base and reinstating the asphalt surface.

Pothole Repairs

Failed or sunken sections

Where one section has deteriorated but the surrounding pavement remains sound, the damaged area can often be cut out and reconstructed without replacing the entire surface.

This can be suitable for driveways, car parks, access roads and other asphalt areas.

Asphalt Road Patching

Worn asphalt surfaces

If the underlying pavement remains structurally sound but the surface has deteriorated, resurfacing or an asphalt overlay may provide an alternative to complete reconstruction.

Utility & trench reinstatement

T&L also provides asphalt reinstatement following utility, excavation and civil works.

With extensive council and road maintenance experience, our team understands the requirements involved in reinstating road and pavement surfaces correctly.

Road Repairs & Utility Restoration

Residential, Commercial & Council Asphalt Repairs

Residential

Cracked driveways, potholes, damaged edges, sunken sections and deteriorating asphalt surfaces.

We’ll assess whether the damaged area can be repaired or resurfaced before recommending complete replacement.

Commercial & strata

Car parks, access roads, loading areas and common property can deteriorate under regular traffic and heavy vehicles.

T&L can undertake individual repairs through to larger resurfacing and reinstatement works.

Builders & civil contractors

Asphalt reinstatement, trench repairs, site access, hardstand and other repair work associated with construction and civil projects.

Council & government

Road maintenance, potholes, asphalt patching, utility restoration, footpaths and other pavement repairs.

T&L is an LGP-approved contractor and SSROC panel contractor with extensive experience undertaking council and government works.

Repair, Resurface or Replace?

This is one of the most common questions with damaged asphalt.

Repair

Best when the damage is isolated and the surrounding pavement remains in good condition.

The affected area can potentially be repaired without disturbing the rest of the surface.

Resurface

Suitable where the existing surface has deteriorated but the underlying base remains structurally sound.

A new asphalt surface can potentially be applied without completely reconstructing the pavement.

Reconstruct

Where the underlying base has failed, simply covering the problem may only provide a temporary result.

The failed material may need to be removed, the base reconstructed and the asphalt reinstated correctly.

Which one do you need?

That’s something we can assess. Our aim is to recommend the work the surface actually needs rather than automatically suggesting complete replacement.

  2. We assess the surface

We’ll look at the type of damage, condition of the surrounding asphalt, drainage and whether there are signs of failure underneath.

  3. We recommend the right repair

We’ll explain whether the area is suitable for patching, crack sealing, resurfacing or whether part of the pavement needs reconstruction.

  4. We complete the work

Our team undertakes the required preparation and asphalt repair using the appropriate equipment and materials.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you repair one section of asphalt without replacing everything?

Yes, depending on the condition of the surrounding pavement and underlying base. Localised repairs can often address an isolated failed section without reconstructing the entire area.

Can potholes simply be filled?

It depends on what’s caused the pothole. If the underlying pavement has failed, simply filling the hole may only provide a temporary repair. Removing the failed material and repairing the underlying area can provide a more appropriate long-term solution.

Can you repair cracked asphalt?

Yes. The appropriate repair depends on the extent and type of cracking. Smaller cracks may be suitable for crack sealing, while widespread or structural cracking can indicate problems beneath the surface.

Can an old asphalt driveway be resurfaced?

Potentially. If the underlying base remains sound, resurfacing or an overlay may be possible. If the base has failed, those issues generally need to be corrected first.

Do you repair commercial car parks?

Yes. T&L undertakes asphalt repairs for commercial properties, strata, car parks, access roads and other traffic areas.

Do you undertake council and road repairs?

Yes. Council and government asphalt work is an established part of T&L’s business. T&L is an LGP-approved and SSROC panel contractor.

How much do asphalt repairs cost?

The cost depends on the size and depth of the repair, site access, condition of the underlying base and the amount of preparation required.

Send us some details and photos of the area and we can arrange an assessment and quote.
